Why Is a Transition Plan Important?

Transitioning is a vital part of the process because the body naturally needs to regulate the PH level in order to properly digest. Even puppies that wean off of mom will transition from birth into a young puppy by drinking less milk and starting on solid food. This process is a natural part of all species biology and will occur when transitioning from a puppy to a young adult, to an adult, and to a senior dog as well.

Simply put: before humans manufactured food in factories dogs were feeding whole prey ancestrally but they have evolved to accommodate humans who decided to intervene on their natural living space. By feeding raw, we are doing due diligence in providing the best care that we can to animals that we domesticated to be a part of our families. We want to treat them as valued and respected members of our family.
